The USA Spending database provides data on US federal assistance and contracts. You can collect specific information on contracts and loans, or you can download bulk data.

Federal News Network provides regular reporting on issues affecting the federal workforce.

​The House clerk maintains financial disclosures of members of the House of Representatives. You can look up past disclosure forms here.

This website provides financial disclosure documents of US Senators.

Professor Charles Stewart (MIT) provides many datasets and links related to the US Congress. 

This table tracks the progress of US Appropriations bills.

This database provides information on hard earmarks included in US Appropriations bills.

The CBO produces independent analyses of budgetary and economic issues to support the Congressional budget process. Much of their work focuses on cost estimates of proposed legislation. You can find those reports here.

The Center for Responsive Politics provides easy-to-use data on political action committees (PACs), candidates for federal office, campaign contributions, gifts, lobbying activity, and earmarks. Much of their data comes from the Federal Election Commission.

The CAGW is a private, non-partisan, non-profit organization committed to eliminate waste, mismanagement, and inefficiency in government. They provide reports on federal government waste.

Good Jobs First provides several databases on subsidies, tax breaks, and corporate misconduct. Their databases are free, though subscriptions provide researchers with greater data access.
